Executive Mansion, Monrovia :– President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr. has hosted 13-year-old academic prodigy Stephen Vorkpor Jr., Liberia’s youngest recent high school graduate, at the Executive Mansion in recognition of his exceptional scholarly achievement and inspiring personal journey.
Stephen, who completed high school at an age when most students are just entering junior high, has become a symbol of the potential within Liberia’s young generation. His academic record, discipline, and determination have captured national attention and sparked conversations about nurturing gifted learners across the country.
During the meeting, President Boakai congratulated Stephen for his remarkable accomplishment and encouraged him to remain focused as he continues his educational journey. The President emphasized that the future of Liberia is bright because of young people like Stephen whose brilliance and dedication stand as examples for their peers.
The President also expressed the Government’s interest in strengthening the education sector so that every Liberian child, regardless of background, has the opportunity to thrive, innovate, and contribute meaningfully to the nation’s development.
Stephen, accompanied by his parents, expressed gratitude for the recognition and shared his aspirations to pursue higher education in the sciences and contribute to Liberia’s technological advancement.
