-As She Leads Delegation Team At Expo 2025 Osaka

Osaka, Japan – Liberia’s Commissioner-General to Expo 2025 Osaka, Ambassador Queen Juli Endee, paid a courtesy visit yesterday to the Jelly Fish Pavilion, one of the Expo’s premier entertainment hubs known for collaborating with artists from around the world. She was warmly received by Mrs. Sachiko Nakajima, Commissioner General of the Jelly Fish Pavilion, as well as a performer and producer, who personally led her on a tour of the dynamic and colorful space.

Prior to the visit, Ambassador Endee and Mrs. Nakajima held an online meeting to discuss joint ventures and collaborations in music and culture—an initiative approved by the Government of Japan. Ambassador Endee also participated in a program hosted by the Jelly Fish Pavilion, where she met with a representative from the Osaka Chamber of Commerce, one of the oldest theater performers, and a special assistant to a member of the Osaka parliament. A connection was established, and future collaboration was discussed. Additionally, Ambassador Endee received confirmation from Mr. Mayu Komatsu that Yao City is open to discussions focused on exploring ways Liberia and Yao City could expand business and economic development opportunities with the Republic of Liberia. A follow-up meeting has been scheduled for next week to develop an action plan. Yao is a city located in Osaka Prefecture, Japan, and is noted as a major hub for car parts manufacturing and other equipment.

During the tour at the Jelly Fish Pavilion, Mrs. Nakajima expressed keen interest in fostering collaboration between the Jelly Fish Pavilion and the Liberia Pavilion. She emphasized the Pavilion’s focus on entertainment and cultural exchange, proposing joint initiatives that would spotlight Liberian artists and celebrate the country’s

rich cultural heritage.

Ambassador Endee highlighted Liberia’s vibrant traditions of music, dance, and storytelling, noting the important role cultural diplomacy plays in strengthening ties between nations. She also spoke about the broader opportunities Liberia offers for business and investment.

“This visit marks the beginning of what I believe will be a beautiful partnership,” Ambassador Endee said. “Liberia is proud to showcase its culture on this global stage, and we look forward to working closely with the Jelly Fish Pavilion to share the creativity and spirit of the Liberian people with the world.” She also mentioned to Mrs. Nakajima that the Assistant Minister of Culture Affairs, Angel M. Morris, and herself have been having online meetings on Liberia’s Participation and collaboration and noted that the Assistant Minister is a direct representative of Hon. Jerolinmek Mathew Piah, Minister of Information, Cultural Affairs and Tourism Liberia. 

Mrs. Nakajima shared similar sentiments, adding that the Jelly Fish Pavilion is eager to organize special programs where Liberian and Japanese artists can perform together, exchange ideas, and build enduring friendships through the arts.As the visit concluded, both sides discussed plans for possible joint musical showcases later in the Expo season, featuring live performances, dance exhibitions, workshops, and dialogue sessions aimed at deepening cross-cultural understanding
