Monrovia, Liberia – The Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) Grand Cape Mount County Detachment has arrested a 74-year-old Ghanaian national, Grace Kuasi, for illegal possession of narcotics. The arrest occurred on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at approximately 2:00 PM in the Fanti Town Community, Robertsport City.
LDEA officers, acting on a search warrant issued by the Robertsport Magisterial Court, conducted a targeted operation at the suspect’s residence. During the search, law enforcement officers discovered nineteen (19) compressed plates of marijuana concealed in the suspect’s kitchen.
The seized narcotics have an estimated street value of US$1,200.00, equivalent to LD$ 228,000.00.
Following a preliminary investigation, suspect Grace Kuasi has been formally charged with illegal possession of narcotics under Liberia’s newly amended drug law. She has been forwarded to the Robertsport Magisterial Court for prosecution.
