The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Richard Nagbe Koon, has appointed former Chairman of the Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission (LACC), Cllr. James N. Verdier Jr., as Senior Legal Consultant and Chief of Staff in his office.
Cllr. Verdier brings to the Speaker’s office a wealth of professional experience and expertise. He previously served as Vice President of the Liberian National Bar Association, Assistant Professor at the Louis Arthur Grimes School of Law, Head of the Catholic Justice and Peace Commission, and Executive Chairman of the LACC.
With specialties in human rights, democratic governance and the rule of law, anti-corruption, justice and security, as well as civil litigation, Cllr. Verdier’s appointment is expected to strengthen and enhance the operations of the Office of the Speaker.
As the new Senior Legal Consultant and Chief of Staff to the third-ranking official of the Government of Liberia and Head of the Liberian Legislature, Cllr. Verdier is committed to upgrading the office to a more professional and results-oriented level.
