MONROVIA – Hon. Karishma Pelham Raad has effective September 8, 2025, resigned from her post as Assistant Minister for International Organizations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In her resignation letter addressed to His Excellency President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., Minister Raad expressed her “highest compliments and profound respect” for the President, describing her service as “the highest honor of my professional life.” She extended her deep gratitude for the trust and confidence placed in her to represent Liberia on the multilateral stage.

During her tenure, Raad was tasked with managing Liberia’s engagements within international bodies such as the United Nations, the African Union, and ECOWAS. In her letter, she stated she carried out her duties “with dedication, integrity, and commitment to advancing the best interests of Liberia,” highlighting pride in the “strides we achieved together” in strengthening the nation’s voice within the global community.

Despite stepping down, the outgoing Assistant Minister assured President Boakai of her “continued loyalty and unwavering commitment” to the success of his administration and the prosperity of the Liberian people.

No immediate successor has been announced, and the reasons behind Raad’s decision to resign were not disclosed in the official correspondence. President Joseph N. Boakai, accepted the resignation of Madam Karishma Pelham-Raad on Monday.
