The family of the late Ronell Lebana Gewh is outraged and demanding justice for her untimely demise.
Ronell’s mother, Irene Garpeh, and uncle, Luther Garpeh, expressed their grief and concerns to the media — calling for a fair and transparent judicial process.

“We want the Liberian Government, through the Judicial Branch, to ensure that justice is served for our loved one,” Irene Garpeh emphasized, her voice filled with emotion. “We believe that a thorough investigation will reveal the truth behind Ronell’s tragic death.” The family refuted speculation that Ronell was a sex worker, describing her as an obedient and home-loving child. According to her mother, Ronell was a responsible young woman who prioritized her home life.

Madam Irene Garpeh recounted the last time she saw her daughter alive. “On Saturday, she cooked at home after working. Later, she told me she was going to buy a SIM card for her new phone. At 4 pm, she left the house and didn’t come back. It was concerning because my daughter doesn’t sleep out without informing me,” she stated. Irene’s voice trembled as she continued, “I couldn’t hear a call from my daughter until Sunday up to Monday, when I received the devastating news of her death in a boy’s room. The news shocked me and broke me down.”

The family is still grappling with the pain of losing their loved one. Mother Irene Garpeh also described her daughter’s habits, saying, “Ronell drinks alcohol, but she goes home safely and normally. She doesn’t take drugs or harmful substances.” The family hopes that the investigation will uncover the circumstances surrounding Ronell’s death and bring her murderer to justice they seek. As the family mourns their loss, they urge the authorities to leave no stone unturned in investigating Ronell’s death — demanding transparency and accountability to ensure that justice is served.
