Former Grand Bassa County Senatorial candidate, Charles Paul Vah II has highlighted the need for Liberia to prioritize entrepreneurship and human resources development in its national development drive.
Mr. Vah, ll believes that Liberia’s investment into these sectors will enable speedy economic growth, and transformational development, adding that with that Liberia will have a participatory and inclusive economy driven by Liberians.
He made these policy recommendations following the successful completion of a Master of Business Administration (MBA), with an Emphasis in Leadership at the prestigious Concordia University, St. Paul, Minnesota. The institution is the second-largest private university in the U.S. state of America.
In order to aid the government in achieving this national transformation policy on human capital development while in the United States, Mr. Vah, ll remains deeply connected to Liberia, particularly Grand Bassa County and the youthful population.
At the same time, he reaffirmed his commitment to education assistance, vocational training, and skills development, including facilitating international scholarship opportunities for permanent Bassa residents and young Liberia.
He disclosed that currently, several beneficiaries are pursuing studies in Rwanda sponsored by him, something he describes as part of a broader vision to prepare Liberian youth for global competitiveness.
Commenting on national issues, Hon. Vah commended President Joseph Nyuma Boakai for what he considered a steady handling of Liberia’s current state of affairs.
However, he urged Liberians to shift their focus from excessive political engagement to entrepreneurship and productive enterprise.
“Liberians must begin to focus on entrepreneurship instead of politics alone. We need to return to the soil. Agriculture and land remain one of Liberia’s greatest sources of wealth. The path to true freedom is personal and economic independence.” Mr. Vah, ll emphasized.
He asserted that entrepreneurship is the key to self-reliance, job creation, and sustainable national development, encouraging citizens to invest in agriculture, small businesses, and innovation.
“Let Liberians strive for personal independence. The only way to achieve this is through entrepreneurship,” he recommended.
Hon. Vah’s academic achievements, professional success, and continued advocacy for education and economic empowerment position him as a prominent voice among Liberia’s emerging leaders, both at home and in the diaspora.
Mr. Vah, proudly walked across the graduation stage, marking another milestone in an already distinguished academic and professional journey. With this latest achievement, he now holds multiple postgraduate qualifications, underscoring his long-standing commitment to education, leadership, and national development.
