Monrovia: Lawyers for Mr. Samuel Jackson have formally notified the Liberia National Police (LNP) of their objection to a scheduled autopsy and are requesting an immediate postponement of the procedure in the case of the late Toni Khumalo Jackson.
In a letter addressed to Inspector-General Col. Gregory Coleman on Monday, March 16, 2026, AFDASA GLOBAL CONSULTANCY INC. raised concerns regarding the autopsy planned for 11:00 A.M., citing insufficient notice and an inability to verify the credentials of the appointed pathologist.
“AFDASA GLOBAL acknowledges receipt of the late notice about a planned autopsy on Toni Khumalo’s remains today, March 16, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. AFDASA does object to the autopsy examination but is unwilling and unable to advise Mr. Sam Jackson to lend credence to or participate in such hastily arranged exercise,” the letter, which is currently in this paper possession reads.
The firm also noted that no death certificate has been issued establishing cause of death and that the family has been unable to secure a pathologist to observe the examination on such short notice.

Mrs. Jackson died last week at the John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Monrovia after being transferred from Catholic Hospital, where she had initially undergone emergency brain surgery. On Saturday, March 14, the Liberia National Police named her spouse, Liberian politician Mr. Samuel P. Jackson, as the prime suspect in the case. The circumstances leading to her injuries remain unclear.
Mr. Jackson’s family has requested that today’s autopsy be deferred to allow adequate time to retain independent medical representation. The letter was signed by Cllr. Sayma Cephus, Esq., who serves as Global Lead Counsel.
