Monrovia: Orange Liberia has been named Liberia’s “Outstanding GSM Company of the Year 2024/2025,” an award that recognizes the company’s sustained investment in infrastructure and its role in driving the nation’s digital transformation. The honor was conferred during a formal ceremony in Monrovia organized by Hope Liberia TV, where the company’s Country Marketing Officer, Jeah Christopher Bobdo, reaffirmed Orange Liberia’s commitment to delivering improved telecommunications services across the country.
Bobdo noted that the company’s continued investment in infrastructure and service delivery reflects its dedication to its core values and long-term vision for Liberia’s digital transformation, adding that the recognition serves as evidence that Orange Liberia has lived up to its commitments through sustained investment and innovation in the telecommunications sector.
In its official citation, the management of Hope Liberia TV praised Orange Liberia for its consistent performance and contribution to national development, stating that between 2024 and 2025, the company demonstrated outstanding leadership in Liberia’s telecommunications sector through significant investments in network expansion and infrastructure that extended connectivity to rural and underserved communities.
The citation further recognized Orange Liberia’s global achievements, including multiple international awards such as the Ookla Speedtest Awards for Best Mobile Network, Fastest Network, and Best Coverage. Beyond connectivity, the citation noted that Orange Liberia continues to transform lives through its innovative Orange Money platform, which has empowered over a million users with access to financial services, thereby promoting financial inclusion across the country.
Hope Liberia TV also acknowledged the company’s investment in youth empowerment through the Orange Digital Center, which has provided digital and entrepreneurial training to thousands of young people and women, and concluded by stating that for its unwavering commitment to technological advancement, economic contribution, youth empowerment, and national development, the organization was proud to honor Orange Liberia as Liberia’s Outstanding GSM Company of the Year 2024/2025.
According to the organizers, the award was based on several key achievements by Orange Liberia, including winning multiple international Ookla Speedtest Awards, expanding telecommunications infrastructure, and deploying an extensive fiber-optic network to improve internet reliability. The company was also recognized for the growth of its Orange Money platform, which now serves more than one million users, as well as its continued investment in digital skills training through the Orange Digital Center.
Additionally, Orange Liberia’s contribution to Liberia’s economy through job creation, innovation, and support for youth and sports development was highlighted as part of the justification for the award.
