Monrova, Liberia — Orange GSM Liberia has reaffirmed the vital role of the media in advancing its mission, honoring journalists and media institutions from across the country at its 2025 Media Awards ceremony.

Delivering the keynote address, Supu H. W. Cole Sr., Director of Legal, Regulatory and Government Affairs and Secretary General of Orange Liberia, welcomed attendees and extended congratulations to members of the press, partners, and the wider “Orange family” for their steadfast support and collaboration.

Cole stressed that Orange Liberia’s success is deeply rooted in its strong partnership with the media. Without effective media engagement, he noted, the company would struggle to communicate its services, innovations, and community impact to the Liberian public.

He praised media practitioners for their essential role in information dissemination and public awareness, highlighting their presence in both rural and urban regions as key to ensuring nationwide reach.

Cole also lauded the professionalism and dedication of journalists, stating that their work has significantly contributed to Orange Liberia’s recognition as a leading telecommunications provider. He pointed to the company’s consistent achievements, including maintaining high standards in network quality and coverage over the past three years.

Addressing the award recipients, Cole described all attendees as winners, emphasizing that while a few individuals received special recognition, every media partner present has made meaningful contributions worthy of appreciation.

“This recognition is a testament to the value we place on your work and the partnership we share,” he said. “We see your efforts, and we are proud to celebrate your impact.”

According to Cole, the 2025 Media Awards aim to inspire greater professionalism and excellence within the media sector, encouraging journalists to continue striving for higher standards.

The event concluded with a call for sustained collaboration, as Orange Liberia reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening ties with the media in the years ahead.

Awards were presented to journalists from both rural and urban Liberia, and all media institutions that supported the growth and development of Orange GSM Liberia received certificates of recognition.
