Capitol Hill Campus — The University of Liberia has released its official calendar for the 2026 First Entrance and Aptitude Tests, ushering in a new admissions season with a significant shift to digital testing and fully online registration.
In an effort to streamline the application process, the University’s Center for Testing and Evaluation (CTE) confirmed that registration for all entrance examinations will open on April 6 and close on May 11. For the first time, prospective students will complete the entire registration process online—a move administrators say is designed to improve accessibility and reduce administrative bottlenecks.
“We are committed to making the admissions process as seamless as possible,” said Asst. Prof. Moses S. E. Hinneh, Jr., Executive Director of the CTE. “The shift to an all-digital registration platform reflects our dedication to modernizing university operations and meeting applicants where they are.”
The undergraduate digital entrance examinations are scheduled for May 18–23, with a paper-based option available on May 30. The university noted that all testing will take place exclusively in Monrovia, and candidates who miss their originally scheduled dates will have a final opportunity to sit for exams from June 17–19.
Aptitude testing for professional and graduate programs follows a staggered schedule: the Law School’s exams will run from June 1–4, the School of Pharmacy on June 5, the Medical School from June 8–10, and graduate programs from June 11–16.
Results are slated for release in early July, with the Testing Committee receiving them on July 3, followed by presentations to the UL Cabinet and Faculty Senate on July 6 and 9, respectively. Official publication of results is scheduled for July 10, and the admissions process for successful candidates will run from July 13 through August 15.
The university emphasized that all fees must be paid via bank deposit at designated institutions—mobile money transactions will not be accepted. Undergraduate and Sinje Vocational School applicants are required to deposit 3,000 LRD into the UL Tuition & Fee account at Guaranty Trust (GT) Bank. Graduate and professional school applicants must deposit 150 USD into the UL Graduate School account at Ecobank.
Following payment, candidates must complete their registration through one of two online confirmation links provided by the CTE.
Applicants to graduate and professional programs are reminded that a bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA of 2.700 is required for eligibility. All payments are non-refundable.
Dr. Agnes Reeves Taylor, Vice President for Academic Affairs, underscored the importance of adherence to the published schedule. “We encourage all prospective students to take note of these dates and to complete their registrations promptly,” she said. “The University of Liberia remains steadfast in its mission to identify and admit candidates who are prepared to excel in their chosen fields.”
