MONROVIA, Liberia Liberia’s drive to reshape its urban landscape received a major boost with the arrival of Mustapha Njie, Chief Executive Officer of TAF Africa Global, leading a high-level delegation on a strategic investment mission. The visit, facilitated by the National Investment Commission, follows an official invitation from Joseph Nyuma Boakai, as part of Liberia’s broader efforts to attract credible foreign investors in housing and infrastructure.
At the heart of discussions is a 5,000-unit affordable housing and smart city development, expected to span approximately 500 hectares within the Monrovia growth corridor. The project is being coordinated by the Office of the Presidential Special Envoy on Investment, led by Ambassador Mohammed M. Bah. Officials say the development goes beyond housing, incorporating schools and healthcare facilities Green spaces and sustainable infrastructure
Integrated “live-work-play” communities.
If executed, the project would be among the largest private-sectohousing initiatives in Liberia’s history. During regular press briefing at the Ministry of Information, Njie reaffirmed his commitment to working with the Liberian government and its people. He disclosed that TAF Africa Global is registered in nine countries but operational in three, emphasizing a measured and phased approach to continental expansion.

Create employment opportunities for Liberians, especially youth, and partner with the National Housing Authority and other government agencies.
“We are here to work with the government and people of Liberia to deliver sustainable housing solutions,” Njie said, emphasizing the company’s long-term vision.
At a welcoming ceremony at the Executive Mansion, NIC Chairman Jeff B. Blibo stressed Liberia’s dedication to attracting partners capable of delivering transformational development, not just buildings.
“This partnership is about creating ecosystems that will benefit all Liberians,” Blibo said, pointing to the project’s potential to stimulate the mortgage market, empower local contractors, and drive economic growth. The initiative also aligns with the government’s agenda of Urban renewal, Infrastructure expansion and diaspora homeownership promotion.
With over three decades of experience, TAF Africa Global has earned a reputation in parts of Africa for delivering large-scale housing projects. The company was recently named Africa’s Affordable Housing Company of the Year (2025), reinforcing its credibility.
TAF Africa Global aims to build one million homes across Africa, positioning Liberia as a key hub for sustainable urban expansion in West Africa.
