DETROIT, MICHIGAN – The Congress for Democratic Change-United States of America (CDC-USA) has donated $1,500 to the Jabah Galakpai Howard Fissebu Youth Center, honoring the legacy of the late Jabah Galakpai Howard, a dedicated stalwart remembered for his lifelong commitment to community service and youth empowerment.

The donation was presented during Howard’s funeral repass on Saturday, June 6, 2026, in Detroit, Michigan. The contribution reflects CDC-USA’s resolve to preserve the memory of a man who tirelessly worked to uplift young people in his hometown of Fissebu and advance the ideals of the CDC.

Rev. Solomon M. Muin, Officer-in-Charge of CDC-USA, presented the donation and praised Howard’s grassroots, people-centered leadership. He highlighted Howard’s visionary efforts in establishing the youth center to build hope and create opportunities for the next generation.

“Stalwart Howard was a man who believed in putting action behind his words and resources behind his convictions,” Rev. Muin said. “He consistently invested in causes that uplifted people and strengthened the CDC. His commitment to youth development and community empowerment will continue to inspire generations.”

Rev. Muin also recalled Howard’s support for the reconstruction of the CDC National Headquarters, a project launched by the party’s Political Leader, H.E. Dr. George Manneh Weah. He noted that Howard was among the resilient grassroots supporters who stood firmly with the party and contributed generously to rebuilding efforts after the destruction of the headquarters.

According to Rev. Muin, CDC-USA’s presence at the funeral and its support for the Fissebu Youth Center serve as a continuation of Howard’s life mission of service and development.

Receiving the donation on behalf of the family, Mrs. Priscilla Howard expressed deep gratitude to CDC-USA. She assured the delegation that the funds would be directed entirely toward the youth center, ensuring her husband’s vision of empowering young people continues to thrive.

Family members, friends, and CDC supporters in attendance welcomed the gesture as a fitting tribute to a man whose life was marked by generosity, loyalty, and service to both his community and the CDC.

CDC-USA reaffirmed its commitment to supporting initiatives that advance youth development, community empowerment, and the values for which Stalwart Jabah Galakpai Howard stood.
