MONROVIA, Liberia – Monrovia City Nora Finda Bondohas secured a US$435,560 property valuation bond in connection with multiple criminal charges filed against her before the Criminal Assizes “C” Court at the First Judicial Circuit for Montserrado County.
Court documents filed before Assigned Circuit Judge Ousman F. Feika indicate that Mayor Bondo is facing allegations including money laundering, theft of property, misuse of public money, property, and records, criminal conspiracy, forgery, and criminal facilitation.
The bond, approved by the court, was backed by several sureties who pledged legally documented properties located in Gardnersville, Oldest Congo Town, and other parts of Montserrado County. The sureties include Fayia Fallambu, Tina Kumba Fallambu, and Abraham Wade Simpson, who presented property deeds and related documents to guarantee the defendant’s appearance before the court.
Under the terms of the bond, Mayor Bondo is required to appear before the court whenever summoned and comply with all judicial proceedings related to the case. The agreement further stipulates that she must not leave Liberia without the court’s permission and must remain subject to the authority of the court until the matter is fully adjudicated.
According to the court filing, the bond amount represents the assessed value of the pledged properties and serves as security to ensure the defendant’s compliance with all legal requirements throughout the trial.
The case remains pending before Criminal Court “C,” where proceedings are expected to continue in the coming weeks.
However, the Criminal Court “C” Judge has not yet announced a date for the commencement of full trial proceedings.
