-On Youth, Peace and Security
NEW YORK — The Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Liberia has announced the official speaker lineup for its upcoming high-level side event on Youth, Peace and Security, to be held on the margins of the 81st United Nations General Assembly in New York.
Under the theme “Rooting and Rising: Liberia’s Vision for Youth, Peace and Security,” the event will spotlight Liberia’s commitment to advancing youth participation in peacebuilding, security, development and national decision-making, while highlighting the country’s vision for investing in young people as partners in building sustainable peace.
The high-level event is scheduled for Friday, September 18, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the Nelson Mandela Hall, African Union Permanent Observer Mission to the United Nations, 305 East 47th Street, New York.
The Ministry said it is honored to welcome an accomplished lineup of national and international leaders, though the full list of speakers was not immediately disclosed in the announcement.
