BONG COUNTY – Representative Moima Briggs Mensah of Bong County District #6 has renewed her commitment to promoting education, youth empowerment, and community development across her district, emphasizing that true leadership is measured by service, not recognition.

Speaking at a recent community gathering attended by family members, colleagues, and supporters, Rep. Mensah reflected on her journey in public service and the principles that continue to guide her work. She described her life’s mission as one rooted in faith, humility, and compassion for people. “When I look back and see where God has brought me, I am speechless,” she said, expressing gratitude to those who have stood by her through the years. “We serve not because we want praise, but because we believe in transforming lives and building stronger communities.”

Rep. Mensah highlighted her ongoing investment in education, noting that several students from Bong County are currently pursuing advanced degrees in China through partnerships and support initiatives linked to her office. “We have created educational pathways for our youth. Six students are studying in China today because we believe education remains the most powerful tool for transformation,” she stated.

She credited her late mother as the foundation of her values and determination. “My mother was a single parent who taught me to dream big and fight for what is right. Her sacrifices shaped my character and my passion for service,” Rep. Mensah said. The legislator, known for championing community-based initiatives, also used the platform to encourage collaboration among local leaders and citizens. “No leader can achieve success alone. It takes unity and collective effort to drive development,” she emphasized.

Addressing criticism from some quarters, Rep. Mensah reaffirmed her focus on results over politics. “Criticism will always come, but our focus must remain on the people. What matters most is impact—the schools we build, the roads we open, and the lives we change,” she declared. Members of the House of Representatives and local leaders present praised her dedication to service and her leadership style centered on inclusion and accountability.

Rep. Mensah concluded by urging young people to stay hopeful and committed to their dreams, reminding them that progress is a journey, not a destination. “As long as God gives me strength, I will continue to serve with purpose and integrity. My mission is to see Bong County and Liberia rise through education, empowerment, and unity,” she affirmed.
