Early Tuesday, December 26, 2023, Amb. Juli Endee, the Chair for Culture, Arts and Entertainment of the Inaugural Committee of President Elect Amb. Joseph Nyuma Boakai, paid assessment visits at various sites that are expected to be used as part of the celebration.

As part of the assessment, Amb. Endee led the Committee at the Samuel K. Doe Sports Complex, the Roberts International Airport, the Historic Providence Island, the Executive Mansion, National Legislature, the Centennial Pavilion, Effort Baptist Church in Paynesville, Benson Street Mosque, the Monrovia City Hall, and at several other sites.

As gathered so far- international guests will be overwhelmingly welcomed upon their arrival at the Roberts International Airport (RIA), a Youth Concert (Kukatornon festival) will be held at the front of the Samuel K. Doe Sports Complex,  observance of Bicentennial square will take place at the Historic Providence Island, an export will be held at the centennial pavilion. the swearing-in ceremony will take place at the Capitol, and a reception at Executive Mansion.

In anticipation of the upcoming inauguration of President-elect Joseph Nyuma Boakai and Vice President-elect Jeremiah Kpan Koung, the National Steering Committee recently unveiled a detailed schedule for the historic event, set to take place on January 22 at the Capitol, the seat of the National Legislature.

The inaugural festivities will commence with a prayer service at the Benson Street Mosque on January 19, followed by a vibrant Youth Concert on January 20.

An intercessory service is scheduled at the Effort Baptist Church in Paynesville on January 21, beginning at 10:00 am.

The swearing-in ceremony on January 22 will be succeeded by a presidential luncheon at a yet-to-be-disclosed venue.

The committee assured the public that additional details and events surrounding the inauguration will be unveiled in the days leading up to the grand occasion.

Security and logistical arrangements are undergoing finalization among the responsible committees, emphasizing a commitment to a smooth and secure execution of the inauguration.

The Committee  however, expressed heartfelt gratitude to Liberians for contributing their services, including those actively participating in extensive cleaning exercises in Monrovia, ensuring the success of this historic inaugural event.
