The Council for Churches in Africa (CCA) has appointed Bishop Dr. John Ballah Mulbah as the new President of CCA Liberia, effective June 23, 2025. The appointment was formally communicated in a letter from Apostle Bishop Dr. Rocky Moyo, Founder and International President of CCA, who expressed confidence in Bishop Mulbah’s leadership capabilities and alignment with the organization’s mission.
The decision followed what the CCA characterized as careful consideration and prayer by it leadership, which recognized Bishop Mulbah’s extensive experience in church leadership, ecumenical engagement, and community development. The CCA believes his dedication to promoting unity, justice, and peace among churches and communities in Liberia was a key factor in his selection.
“We believe that your extensive experience in church leadership, ecumenical engagement, and community development makes you an ideal candidate for this role. Your passion for promoting unity, justice, and peace among churches and communities in Liberia aligns with CCA’s mission and values,” the appointment letter reads.
As President of CCA Liberia, he will provide overall leadership and vision, preside over official meetings and national events, represent the organization in national and international forums, and oversee the implementation of policies and strategic plans.
In his acceptance, Bishop Mulbah pledged his commitment to the role, stating, “I, Bishop Dr. John Ballah Mulbah, hereby accept my appointment as President for CCA Liberia, effective June 23, 2025. I am committed to serving in this role and contributing to the mission and objectives of the Council for Churches in Africa (CCA). I pledge to serve this organization faithfully and voluntarily.”
