-As Pres. Boakai Dismisses Senior Officials for Financial Misconduct

Monrovia, Liberia – In a decisive move to enforce accountability, President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., has dismissed two senior officials of the National Housing Authority (NHA) for financial misconduct.
The dismissed officials are Mr. Prince S. Bonnah, Deputy Managing Director for Administration, and Mr. Alex Railey, Deputy Managing Director for Technical Services. Their termination, effective immediately, follows the findings of an Investigation Committee and is in accordance with Board Resolution No. NHA-2025-001.
The committee established that the officials violated the Public Financial Management Regulations of 2009. President Boakai underscored that his administration maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward the misuse of public resources and financial indiscipline.
“All public officials are entrusted with upholding the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and accountability,” President Boakai stated. “This action reaffirms our unwavering commitment to good governance and the responsible stewardship of public funds.”
The President assured the public that the government will take appropriate administrative steps to ensure the continuity of operations at the NHA in full compliance with existing laws and regulations.
