Osaka, Japan — As Expo 2025 continues to draw global attention in Osaka, Liberia has emerged as a dynamic participant, fully represented by its Commissioner General and delegation, with strategic support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Liberian Embassy in Tokyo.
Liberia’s pavilion has become a hub of engagement, spotlighting national priorities across agriculture, infrastructure, gender equality, education, sanitation, tourism, peace and security, trade, and the oil and gas sector. The delegation has actively participated in workshops, forums, and bilateral meetings aimed at forging partnerships and attracting investment.
Global Platforms, Local Impact
Liberia has been selected as a panelist in three major forums hosted by the United Nations, the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE), and Yao City. These platforms offer Liberia a unique opportunity to articulate its development agenda and share lessons from its post-conflict recovery and institutional renewal.
Last week, Liberia joined a diverse lineup of nations—including Angola, Sudan, Nigeria, Cameroon, Saudi Arabia, Italy, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Togo, Canada, Poland, and others—in a series of national day celebrations and business forums. These events have amplified Liberia’s visibility and opened doors for future collaboration.
A Legacy Through Song
In a creative gesture of solidarity, Liberia added its voice to the “Save the Ring” campaign—an Expo legacy initiative—through a musical performance that emphasized environmental stewardship and intergenerational responsibility. The song, performed by Liberian artists, symbolized the country’s commitment to global unity and sustainable development.
Investment Tour in Motion
Looking ahead, Liberia is organizing an investment tour through its Expo team, in collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce, the National Investment Commission (NIC), and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The tour aims to attract investors in key sectors and showcase Liberia’s readiness for inclusive growth.
Closing Ceremony and Transition
As the Expo prepares for its official closing on October 3, 2025, Liberia is actively involved in the logistical and ceremonial processes, including fumigation, demolition, storage facilitation, and decommissioning. These efforts reflect Liberia’s full-cycle participation and its commitment to international standards of engagement.
Expo 2025 continues to be a platform where nations converge to share innovation, culture, and vision. Liberia’s presence affirms its place in that global conversation—one rooted in resilience, ambition, and a renewed commitment to sustainable development.
