NIMBA COUNTY — The Nimba County Disabled community mourns the death of its official spokesperson, Mr. Gabriel Togbah Tweh Soh, who passed away earlier today (Friday, May 16, 2025) at the Ganta United Methodist Hospital.
According to family sources, Mr. Soh collapsed at a phone repair shop located on Ganta’s main street. He was swiftly transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
Mr. Soh leaves behind a lasting legacy as a dedicated advocate for the rights and welfare of people with disabilities.
His tireless efforts and influence have significantly contributed to improving the lives of many in the community.
Friends, family, and community members are grieving this tragic loss, honoring a man who passionately fought hard for the disabled community.
Nimba County Administration Extend Condolences
Nimba County Administration, under the leadership of Superintendent Kou Meapeh Gono, extends heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and the entire disabled community of Nimba on the sudden passing of Mr. Gabriel Togba-Gbay Tueah Soe, the spokesperson for Persons Living with Disabilities in Nimba
According to family sources, Mr. Soe died on Friday afternoon at the Ganta United Methodist Hospital, where he was rushed for medical attention after falling off at a phone repair shop on Ganta Main Street.
In its condolence, the county administration noted that Mr. Soe was not only the longest-serving spokesperson for Persons Living With Disabilities in Nimba, but also a tireless advocate whose voice resonated with strength, wisdom, and unwavering commitment.
The Nimba County Administration described him as one who championed the rights and welfare of persons with disabilities, ensuring their inclusion in key conversations and advocating for better living conditions and access to opportunities.
The release noted that Gabriel was more than a spokesperson; adding that he was a symbol of courage, resilience, and hope.
Gabriel was an educated and humble man who respected the cause of development and worked tirelessly to see Nimba progress as a county that embraces and uplifts all its people, regardless of physical condition, the release noted.
Meanwhile, the county leadership has committed itself to continuing the work that Mr. Soe passionately advanced for the betterment of his community and the county.
