The consignment was procured by the County Social Development Funds (CSDF). The bikes are intended to ease the traveling burdens on those commissioners in discharging their duties as local authorities.

The leadership of the County Local Government through the County Superintendent Kou Meapeh Gono handed over these transport equipment officially to the nineteen district commissioners headed by Commissioner Kemah Kouh.

Superintendent Gono urged the 19th commissioners that received the motorcycles to carefully handle these transport equipment and put them to the right use and avoid using them for personal use other than the intended use of serving the public by supervising as well as monitoring the day-to-day of their districts.

She also thanked the Nimba Legislative Caucus for always supporting the county’s development purpose and urged the commissioners to always be proactive in their functions in supporting government programs.

“Thank you for adding our value. There’s some more value that you add to our work,” she said.

The female commissioner highlighted that since 2017 she assumed to commissioner position that came with challenges.

“It has not been easy without anything in your offices for the people that work along with you. It makes the job so difficult for us because somebody had to come to work, wear clothes, and keep something home,” Commissioner Kouh asserted.

The commissioner on behalf of her colleagues extended heartfelt appreciation to Superintendent Meapeh and the county caucus for the procurement of the vehicles she termed as total relief to their job.
