
MONROVIA โ President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., has announced a series of new government appointments, placing officials in strategic roles across the public sector. In a statement from the Executive Mansion, the President expressed his confidence that the appointees will serve with diligence and integrity to advance the national interest.
Dr. Augurie E. Stevens has been appointed as the new Superintendent of the Monrovia Consolidated School System (MCSS), tasked with overseeing the capital’s public schools.
For the Board of Directors of the Liberia Electricity Corporation (LEC), President Boakai has named Mr. Albert N. Forh as Chairman and Ambassador Christian Neufville as a Member. This board will guide the critical state-owned utility.
To the Independent National Commission on Human Rights (INCHR), Mr. David Nya Dolo has been appointed as a Commissioner. He will carry the statutory responsibility for the key areas of Education, Training, and Information.
Furthermore, Mr. Ignatius Saymel Neepaaye has been designated as the Liaison Officer for the Establishment of the National Rail Authority, a role central to the foundational work of creating this new entity.
The President urged all appointees to bring their experience and professionalism to their new duties for the benefit of the Liberian people. Where required by law, these appointments are subject to confirmation by the Liberian Senate.
