
CAPITOL HILL, MONROVIA – The University of Liberia Administration has formally announced the reopening of the institution and the resumption of all normal academic and administrative activities, effective Monday, September 8, 2025.
In an official communication directed to the general student body, faculty, staff, and the public, the administration confirmed that the Vice President for Academic Affairs will circulate a comprehensively revised Academic Calendar for the current semester on the day of reopening.
This revised calendar will establish the new timeline for the semester’s events, beginning with a New Student Orientation program for all entering and transfer students, which is scheduled to commence on Wednesday, September 10th. The Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs will subsequently provide detailed information regarding this orientation.
Furthermore, the university anticipates that regular classes for all students will resume on Monday, September 15th, a date that is expected to be officially confirmed to the student body on or before Friday, September 12th. Under the leadership of President Dr. Layli Maparyan, the University of Liberia extends a warm welcome to all new and returning students.
The administration simultaneously advises the entire student community to diligently revert to the university’s official communication outlets and platforms as their sole source for all accurate and authoritative information concerning the revised academic semester.
