As we come to the close of this year, the Board of Directors and Secretariat of the Women NGOs Secretariat of Liberia (WONGOSOL) extend our heartfelt appreciation to our partners, the Government of Liberia, and our diverse membership across the fifteen counties for your steadfast commitment, collaboration, and solidarity.

This year has been one of both significant challenges and meaningful progress. Despite persistent constraints, ranging from shrinking civic space and limited resources to the continued impact of gender-based violence and economic hardship, women-led organizations across Liberia have remained resilient, courageous, and unwavering in advancing the rights, dignity, and leadership of women and girls.

We are deeply grateful to our development partners and allies for their trust and sustained support. Your investments have enabled WONGOSOL and its members to strengthen feminist leadership, advance gender-responsive budgeting, monitor legislative processes, challenge harmful practices, promote peace-building, and elevate the voices of women and girls at community, national, and international levels.

We extend sincere appreciation to the Government of Liberia, particularly the Legislature and relevant line ministries, for engaging with civil society and women’s movements on issues of national importance. While more work remains, we acknowledge the growing spaces for dialogue, accountability, and collaboration toward inclusive governance and social justice.

To our members and women-led organizations, you remain the backbone of WONGOSOL. Your organizing, advocacy, service delivery, and community leadership continue to demonstrate the transformative power of collective action. From rural communities to national platforms, your work has ensured that women’s realities and priorities are not only heard but documented, analyzed, and advocated for.
As we look ahead to the New Year, WONGOSOL reaffirms its commitment to:
• Strengthening feminist leadership and movement-building
• Advancing gender-responsive and accountable governance
• Promoting peace, human rights, and social cohesion
• Defending civic space and the right of women to organize and lead
We enter the coming year with renewed determination to work in partnership, with integrity, and with collective care, guided by our shared vision of a just, peaceful, and inclusive Liberia where women and girls can thrive.
On behalf of the Board of Directors and Secretariat, we thank you for walking this journey with us. We wish you a peaceful end to the year and a new year filled with hope, solidarity, and continued collaboration.
In solidarity,

Board of Directors and Secretariat
Women NGO Secretariat of Liberia (WONGOSOL)
