Momentums are already beginning to build up in the youth and student community of Liberia amidst news that the Board of the Young Democrat Union of Africa (YDUA), has concluded a working session aimed at advancing preparations to hold the 2026 YDUA Forum in Liberia in July.

According to the Chairman of the National Youth Congress of the governing Unity Party, Togar Melvin Cephas, the upcoming forum is expected to bring together 32 political youth leaders from across Africa to hold discussions on various issues affecting young people on the continent.

Cephas said the event will position Liberia as a hub for youth engagement and political networking, providing local young people with an opportunity to connect with influential youth leaders from different African nations.

Organizers of the forum say it will focus on challenges and opportunities facing Africa’s youth, including governance, leadership, employment, education, and civic participation.

Hosting the forum is widely seen as a major milestone for Liberia, an opportunity highlighting the country’s growing role in regional youth dialogue and democratic engagement, as the gathering is also expected to foster partnerships and exchange of ideas among young leaders committed to shaping Africa’s future.
