President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr. recently engaged in a virtual discussion with Elon Musk, the world’s wealthiest businessman and renowned entrepreneur. The high-level meeting, facilitated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, provided an opportunity for Mr. Musk to express his gratitude for the engagement and commend the exceptional coordination and facilitation efforts of Minister Sara Beyslow-Nyanti and her team.

Earlier this month, Africa’s renowned business tycoon and leader, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, paid a courtesy visit to President Joseph N. Boakai, Sr., during the President’s recent visit to Nigeria to attend the ECOWAS Heads of State Summit.

During his latest vature engagement with the world wealthiest businessman, President Boakaiemphasized the importance of such engagements for building relationships and achieving mutually beneficial outcomes in the long term. He highlighted the significance of technology for Liberia’s youth and key sectors, stressing the need for collaboration to improve service delivery across the country.

During the discussion, Mr. Musk discussed the Starlink program, a satellite internet constellation that operates in 80 countries. He expressed his support for initiatives related to education and healthcare, emphasizing the potential impact of internet connectivity in empowering rural communities and driving progress in vital sectors.

President Boakai expressed genuine optimism about the engagement with Mr. Musk, viewing it as a gift to the nation and a commitment to nurturing a positive and enduring relationship. He extended an open invitation for Mr. Musk and his team to visit Liberia, reaffirming the government’s dedication to continued engagement and collaboration.
