MONROVIA, Liberia – Liberia’s Minister of National Defense, Brigadier General (Ret.) Geraldine Janet George, has been inducted into the International Hall of Fame of the United States Army Command and General Staff College (CGSC).

The prestigious honor, announced by the Ministry of National Defense on April 9, 2026, recognizes Minister George’s distinguished service and exemplary leadership in the Armed Forces of Liberia, as well as her outstanding contributions to national defense, international military cooperation, and the promotion of global peace and security.

Minister George is a 2013 graduate of the Command and General Staff College and holds the distinction of being the sixth Liberian—and the only female officer—to have graduated from the institution. Her induction into the Hall of Fame now places her among an elite group of international military leaders recognized for their exceptional professionalism, integrity, and dedication to duty.

The Ministry of National Defense said the honor reflects great credit upon Minister George, the Armed Forces of Liberia, and the Republic of Liberia as a whole. Officials added that the achievement further strengthens Liberia’s standing within the international military community.

The Armed Forces of Liberia and the people of Liberia have extended their congratulations to Minister George, celebrating her continued service to the nation.
