-Former Chief Justice Gloria Musu Scott, terms her controversial murder case
Former Chief Justice Gloria Musu Scott has termed the government’s murder indictment against her and three family members as pure evil and wicked lies coming from people with a calculated ploy to destroy her and her family.
Taking the witness stand for the first time at Criminal Court ‘A’ Thursday, November 16, 2023, since her trial began five months ago, Cllr. Scott, a current licensed lawyer by profession, narrated her involvement in high-profile cases over the last three years, including the Nyonblee Karnga-Lawrence versus Musa Bility of Liberty Party, Senator Botoe Kanneh versus CDC, and Galakpai Kortimai/UP versus CPP and Musa Bility’s Liberty Party, the landmine Lonestar GSM versus Orange Liberia GSM case in the United Kingdom amongst others.
She told the court and jury that Charloe war murdered by an intruder and the charges her are purely manufactured by people with wicked intent to get at her.
Justice Scott said the government developed no interest in finding the murderer of her niece, but had ever since preconceived and premeditated the charges against her from the very day of the murder.
She described the late Charloe as a daughter, son and someone who was, and is still dear to the hearts of all family members because of her kindheartedness, respectful and hardworking nature.
Justice Scott tearfully remembered the late Charloe as a child she’s hugely invested in and watched grow up into a resourceful woman from childhood to a prospective college graduate before her violent murder by evil hands on the fateful night of February 22, 2023.
It can also be recalled that Cllr. Scott was denied representing herself in the ongoing case even though she is a licensed lawyer and a member of the Liberian National Bar Association in good standing.
The case continues tomorrow, Friday, November 17, 2023, with the State cross-examining the former Maryland County Senator.
