-LDEA Boss assures

A member of the Liberian Joint Security has assured Liberian that Liberia will remain peaceful for the conduct of free and fair Presidential run-off election.
Speaking in an exclusive Interview with this paper over the weekend, the Director General of the Liberia Drugs Enforcement Agency (LDEA) Marcus D. Zehyoue, said that during the elections the LDEA work with others security forces through the Joint Security to ensure that there peaceful and non-violence elections and it was manifested in the first phase of the elections.
However, he noted that they will ensure that as Liberian prepares for the elections runoff, the country will remains peaceful for the conduct of the November 14 Presidential runoff.
“The ground (Liberia) will remains peaceful for free and fair elections”. Mr. Zehyoue assured Liberian.
The Joint Security, comprised of branches from the Liberia National Police, Armed Forces of Liberia, Liberia Immigration Service, Liberian Drugs Enforcement Agency (LDEA) Liberia National Fire Service (LNFS) and the National Security Agency, among others.
Mr. Zehyoue disclosed that the LDEA has beef up its strength and intelligent in combating trafficking and others crimes related issues, therefore, they will make sure that Liberian remain calm.
“During elections period, the DEA work with the Liberian National Police, Immigration, and the Armed Force of Liberia and others security forces from the angle of the Joint Security to provide security protection for our people. Like we did during the first phase of the elections, we created the enable environment and the election was peaceful we will do same again” he noted.
According to him, Liberian will remains peaceful for a free and fair elections.
Explaining the role of the DEA, he said that they are a parrot military that is independent and mutual and they will ensured from the angle of the Joint Security that there is peaceful election
The LDEA boss boosted that the DEA has the manpower who are trained and technically inclined to ensure that crimes and violence are brought under control.
“We did several training before the election at the Police Academy. Similar training was also done recently to ensure that we provide the enable environment for peaceful and non-violence elections. We are here and trained to protect lives and properties” he added.
Speaking on the boarder security, Mr. Zea noted that they (LDEA) has always being vigilant Liberian recognized borders entrance point to ensure that trafficking in person, drugs and others related boarder security crimes are brought under control.
He noted that, Liberian has lost of vulnerable borders that traffickers and others criminals take advantage of to enter the system, something he informed Liberian that they have increased their strength to address such.
