NIMBA COUNTY, Liberia — The Liberia Marketing Association (LMA) will elect new leadership on Saturday, April 11, 2026, when it holds its annual convention and elections in Sanniquellie, Nimba County.
Three female candidates, Alice Yeebahn, Elizabeth Samokia, and Lusu Solum, are vying for National President. The election marks a significant moment for the LMA, an institution that has been a cornerstone of Liberia’s marketing sector since its establishment in 1976. As the Liberia Marketing Association (LMA) prepares to elect its new leadership, the stakes are high for the next team to steer the organization forward.
With Liberia’s economy on the rebound, the LMA’s role in promoting trade, investment, and entrepreneurship is crucial. The next leadership will face pressing challenges, including how to boost domestic production, increase access to markets, and enhance the country’s competitiveness in the region. Key issues likely to dominate the next administration’s agenda include strengthening LMA’s capacity to support businesses, especially SMEs, enhancing marketing strategies to promote Liberian products, and fostering partnerships with international organizations to drive growth.
