Senior protocol officer in the office of the Vice President of the Republic of Liberia, Miss Tonia Watson has called on young students to remain committed to learning, discipline, and hard work as she delivered remarks during the Graduation and Closing Program of the Royal Family Development Institute.
Addressing administrators, teachers, parents, guests, and students, Miss Watson described the occasion as a moment of celebration, achievement, and appreciation, recognizing both the successful completion of the academic year and the educational progress of the graduating students.
Speaking directly to the young graduates, she praised their determination and accomplishments throughout the school year.
“You may be small in age, but you have made big achievements,” Miss Watson said. “You have learned new words, numbers, songs, prayers, and valuable lessons that will guide you throughout life. Continue to ask questions, dream big, respect your parents and teachers, and always strive to do your best.”
She reminded the students that education is a continuous journey and encouraged them to remain focused on building a brighter future through learning and faith in God.
Miss Watson also paid tribute to parents and guardians for their support and sacrifices, noting that the success of every child is strengthened by a family that believes in and encourages them.
“To the parents and guardians, today is also your celebration. Your love, commitment, and encouragement have played an important role in the success of these children,” she stated.
Additionally, she commended teachers and staff members of the institution for their dedication and commitment to shaping the future of young minds.
As part of the program, sixty students graduated from the institution, marking an important milestone in their academic journey. Young brilliant student Fatumata S. Fofana emerged as Dux of the graduating class for her outstanding academic performance.
In recognition of academic excellence, Miss Watson announced a full-year scholarship for Dux Fatumata S. Fofana, while two additional students received half-year tuition scholarships for their exceptional performances.
Miss Watson concluded by encouraging the graduates to continue believing in themselves and reminded them that success begins with determination, hard work, and faith in God.
The ceremony ended with congratulations to the graduating class and best wishes for a safe, productive, and enjoyable vacation.
