KARNPLAY CITY, NIMBA CO. — Judiciary Staff Association — JSA members in Nimba County have frowned on the Insurance Company of Liberia for doing less to take more from monthly incomes.
In a worded statement at a meeting convened Saturday in the Karnplay Magisterial Court, distinguished members of the JSA expressed great concerns and frustration over the forms and manners the institution is handling the health and security of the ordinary civil servants in the country.
Highlighting their insecurity and safety as a result of the insurance company’s failure to provide the necessary safety and care in addressing the health and safety of civil servants, despite high cutdowns in salaries.
JSA-Nimba County members further noted huge cutdowns in medical bills by the so-called company without impactful health benefits, but continue to receive less medical attention, such an attitude they claimed is criminal and inhuman.
In what appeared to be experienced sharing, many revealed distressing encounters, describing the operation of the insurance company as ‘419’.
Noting how on numerous occasions they have been rejected by government hospitals in the county upon arrival with medical slips from the company.
According to them, under pretend and dubious agreement with other big hands in the judiciary, on paper, several government hospitals are captured to give them medical treatment but said the memo is contrary to what has been seen, investigated, and experienced.
Outlining further their frustration, the aggrieved JSA-Nimba County members laminated that they found it so difficult to get back pre-finance medical bills from the insurance company, a government entity purporting to safeguard and insure government employees’ safety.
Highlighting the aggressive impact of the situation has caused deaths, perpetual illnesses, and disrespect and ringing insults on their high personality.
The concern was part of several issues proffered before the local authority of the Judiciary Staff Association to get its national office updated for swift intervention.
Recommending JSA-Nimba County’s removal from the insurance company list of beneficiary counties of Liberia.
