Monrovia, Liberia – The First Judicial Circuit Criminal Assizes “C” at the Temple of Justice in Monrovia has issued a formal court citation summoning several former senior government officials and defense counsels to appear before the court over allegations linked to jury misconduct and tampering.

According to the citation signed by Clerk of Court J. Amos F. Chibwe, the order was issued under the directive of Assigned Circuit Judge His Honor Ousman F. Feika during the May Term A.D. 2026 proceedings in Montserrado County.

Those summoned include former Finance Minister Samuel D. Tweh, former Acting Justice Minister Nyanti Tuan, former Director General of the Financial Intelligence Agency Stanley S. Ford, former Financial Intelligence Comptroller Moses P. Cooper, and Jefferson Karmo, former National Security Advisor to former President George Weah. Several defense lawyers connected to the case were also cited.

The defendants are facing multiple criminal allegations, including economic sabotage involving the alleged theft and misuse of public funds, theft of property, money laundering, criminal facilitation, and criminal conspiracy.

The court ordered all concerned parties to appear on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. for an investigation into alleged jury misconduct and tampering connected to affidavits submitted by three individuals said to have served as jurors in the ongoing case.

Meanwhile, the court announced that the hearing for the Motion for New Trial has been temporarily suspended pending the outcome of the investigation.

The citation bears the official seal of the court and was reportedly received on May 19, 2026.
