Monday, September 11, 2022, Monrovia, Liberia: Chief Dr. Jewel Howard-Taylor, Vice President of the Republic of Liberia, has arrived in Dar es Salaam, the capital of the United Republic of Tanzania, to speak at the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Conference on Women and Youth Trade, which will take place from September 12 to 14 of that year.

The United Republic of Tanzania’s President, Her Excellency Samia Suluhu Hassan, has invited Madam Vice President to share her thoughts on the topic “Women and Youth: the Engine of AfCFTA Trade in Africa.”

Vice President Howard-Taylor was welcomed at the airport by Hon. Amb. Minister of Foreign Affairs and Eastern African Cooperation Liberata Mulamula

Since former President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf visited in 2012, Madam Vice President is the first Liberian official to travel to the United Republic of Tanzania.

The vice president of Liberia will consult with H.E. whilst in Dar es Salaam. President of the United Republic of Tanzania Samia Suluhu Hassan and H.E. Wamkele Mene, the AfCFTA Secretariat’s Secretary General, among others
