-Rep. Moima Briggs Mensah says

Bong County D# 6 Representative and Chairperson on Gender, social and child protection, Moima Briggs Mensah is advocating for 40% of women inclusion in all sectors of the public and private sectors from now to 2029.

Representative Moima Briggs Mensah said, women participation in both public and private sectors should increases at the level of 40% from now to 2029 to make better decision.

According to the chairperson on Gender, social, and child protection at the lower house Representative Mensah, 40% increasement in all sectors will make women to carry on decisive  decision.

” when women increase to 40%, we will make a better decision”.

Meanwhile, she said from now to 2029, women should be on at peak of debating the issues in comparing with men in decision making.” we should at the top on debating a issues”

she added that, in empowering women, we need to put stop to SGBV in the country, women should look at children that are selling on the street.

District#6 Bong country Lawmaker Moima Briggs Mensah said, women should look at the 14 years old girl serving as sex worker on the street for 200 LD.

She said that, women need to empower those sex workers to put an end of their bad activities, Rep. Moima Briggs Mensah said, the National Budget is before the 55th national legislature and serving as Gender chairperson, Gender issues will be significant.

Representative Moima Briggs Mesah stated, the ministry of health should also put an end on children maternal mortality rate across the country.” Ministry of Health should put an end on children maternal mortality rate.”

Speaking over the weekend at International Women’s day celebration, Representative Moima Briggs Mesah stress that, the Gender Committee will not be like a workshop, but active work in the interest of Liberia women.

She said, at the end of this year, she want see a Bill passing for the protection of women rights.” I want to see a Bill passing for the protection of women rights”.

Gender chairperson Rep. Moima Briggs Mensah said her friend women are finding difficulties with Violence against women, most Women right have been abuse by their men through violence and Rape is another factors of  girl children  faces in  every day activities in lives.

She said As a chairperson on Gender, her Committee members are engaging all shareholders to work together to put  Gender issues on top of peak.

Representative Mensah stated, her main focus will be on policy making on the  management of prostitution across the country, the committee observed that their girl children lives have been demage from prostitution.
