…As Civil Law Court Issue Writ of Eviction

In the case involving the plaintiff: the intestate Estate of Martha Stubblefiel Berol by and through its administrator, Ebrinma Varaey Demes versus defendants: the intestate Estate of the late Wiliam Thomas Bernard represented by its Executor Archibald F. Bernard, Nancy Friday, Bernard Freeman, Murary Bernard, Vivian Bernard, William Bernard

Leona P, Bernard, Archibald F Bernard and the Congress for Democratic Change, the Monrovia  Civil Law Court has issued double writs seeking the eviction of former ruling party CDC from their headquarters located in Congo Town.  

The writ follows the Supreme Court opinion against CDC after the court affirmed the lower court verdict against the former ruling establishment in the action of ejectment filed by Ebrima Varney Dempster on behalf of  Martha Stubblefield Bernard.  

Judge Golda Elliot on March 7  2024 issued the writ of possession and commanded the Sheriff to evict, eject, and oust the defendant’s Congress of Democratic Change from the headquarters.  

And further grants the plaintiff intestate Estate of Martha Stubblefiel Berol to take charge of the property on which the former ruling CDC is situated.

YOU ARE FURTHER COMMANDED TO OUST, EVICT AND UECT THE ABOVE-NAMED APPELLANTS/DEFENDANTS FROM THE SUBJECT PROPERTY IN KEEPING WITH LAW, THEREBY PLACING THE ABOVE-NAMED APPELLEE/PLAINTIFF IN

POSSESSION OF THE SAID PROPERTY SUBJECT OF THESE PROCEDINGS.” The writ said.

Meanwhile, Judge Bonah Elliot’s second writ instructed the Sheriff to arrest the living bodies of the corporate officers and the administrators of the defendants if they failed to pay over 54 thousand United States dollars and over 13 thousand Liberian dollars to the Plaintiff as rental fee for the property.

The CDC is the majority member of the former ruling establishment that led Liberia from 2017 to 2023
