NEC Headquarters, Monrovia, Liberia | 1 September 2026 – The National Elections Commission of Liberia (NEC – Liberia) will on Wednesday, 2 September 2026, officially launch its 2026–2030 Strategic Plan, a comprehensive roadmap aimed at strengthening Liberia’s electoral processes and advancing credible, transparent, inclusive, and sustainable elections.
The launch will take place at 11:00 AM in the JMF Hall at the NEC Headquarters on 9th Street, Sinkor, Monrovia.
The Strategic Plan represents the Commission’s vision and strategic direction for the next five years, outlining key priorities and interventions intended to enhance electoral administration, institutional effectiveness, stakeholder engagement, public confidence, and the overall integrity of Liberia’s electoral process.
Developed with support from the UNDP Liberia Electoral Support Project (LESP) through funding from the European Union, the Embassy of Sweden in Monrovia, and Ireland, the Plan underscores the NEC’s commitment to the principles of integrity, transparency, inclusion, impartiality, professionalism, confidentiality, and independence.
It is intended to provide a clear framework for strengthening institutional capacity while ensuring that electoral processes remain responsive, accessible, credible, and trusted by citizens and stakeholders.
The launch will bring together representatives of the Government of Liberia, development partners, political parties, civil society organizations, the media, and other electoral stakeholders.
The NEC invites development partners, electoral stakholders, members of the media to attend and cover the official launch of the 2026–2030 Strategic Plan.
