The Youth Wing of the Movement for Democracy and Reconstruction (MDR) of Senator Prince Yormie Johnson, has welcomed the nomination of Cllr. Cooper W. Kruah as Liberia’s next Minister of Justice and Attorney General.
President Joseph Nyuma Boakai recently nominated the former Minister of Posts & Telecommunications as his Minister of Justice, replacing Cllr. Frank Musah Dean who served in that capacity for the last six years under former President George Manneh Weah.
Dozens of battle cry chanting MDR Youth Wing members who gathered at Cllr. Kruah’s Paynesville Rehab kresidence on Sunday, January 28, 2024, lauded President Boakai for selecting one of Liberia’s best legal minds as head of the Ministry of Justice and the National Joint Security.
Amidst thunderous battle cries, the enthusiastic young people praised President Boakai’s wisdom and professional judgement in making the choice of Minister of Justice, a nomination which, according to them, meets public approval, acceptance, and endorsement on professional ethical, and character grounds.
Responding to the young people’s firing endorsement and approval statements, Cllr. Kruah vowed not to betray the trust and confidence of President Boakai and the Liberian people in his role as Minister of Justice and Attorney General.
He promised that ethics, professionalism, passion, and patriotism will be the guiding principles of his administration as Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Republic.
“I will not let you down. I will serve Liberia and make Nimba proud. I know the Ministry of Justice is a huge responsibility, and I commit to contributing to the goals of this government and the particular duties and responsibilities of the Ministry of Justice”, Kruah vowed.
Cllr. Cooper W.
