MONROVIA – The Vanguard Students Unification Party (SUP) at the University of Liberia has declared the campus a “no-go zone” for any lawmaker who ignores its summons over the removal of former District #10 Representative Yekeh Kolubah, warning that it will not tolerate what it terms a betrayal of the public mandate.

SUP Chairman Odeious Mulbah, speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, on the university campus, issued a 72-hour ultimatum for veteran lawmakers who appended their signatures to Kolubah’s removal to appear before the party. He hinted at unspecified actions against those who defy the directive, underscoring the SUP’s long-standing reputation for student-led activism.

“We are not acting out of mere passion,” Mulbah said. “This is about principle, justice, and defending the democratic space. Those who endorsed the removal of Representative Kolubah must be prepared to account for their actions.”

The SUP characterized the lawmakers’ move as “unjust and politically motivated.” According to the party, the summons is part of a broader effort to hold public officials accountable.

In addition, Mulbah used the occasion to announce a “Justice and Jobs” march scheduled for July 26, 2026, calling on Liberians from all walks of life to join the demonstration. He accused the administration of failing to provide adequate employment opportunities for the masses.

“We urge every citizen to stand with us on July 26 as we demand justice and jobs,” Mulbah stated. “The government must be held accountable to the people.”

The SUP has historically played a significant role in shaping political discourse at the University of Liberia, often positioning itself at the forefront of student advocacy and national issues.
