President Weah & Lewis Brown

A few months after he was elected President of the Republic of Liberia, George Manneh Weah recalled Liberia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York, Ambassador Lewis Brown. The Liberian Leader openly discussed the reason why he made this decision in 2018, a few months after he took office as President of the Republic of Liberia.

According to President Weah, Ambassador Lewis Brown did not listen to his government through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs when he was instructed to vote for the United States of America but instead voted for another candidate, which the President characterized as undiplomatic behavior on Brown’s part. The leader of Liberia stated that his country would not act in a manner that would be detrimental to the interests of the United States of America, which has been Liberia’s traditional friend. He stated that those who are friends with Liberia’s ally are also friends with Liberia.

This is not the first time for me to make this declaration since I am the president. The President stated, “I have expressed this numerous times in the past, long before I became President.”

The leader of Liberia has accused Lewis Brown of plotting to incite the ire of the United States government against his country in order to bring about the suffering of the Liberian people.

After serving as President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf’s Minister of Information for a number of years during her government, Lewis Brown was given the position of Permanent Representative of Liberia to the United Nations by Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, the former President of Liberia.

n spite of the terrible propaganda that has been spread about his administration, President Weah has stated that he will win the election in 2013 and defeat his whole opposition. He said that anyone who is interested in unseating him should do so in a civilized fashion. Weah has stated that he has never participated in a military conflict since he despises war.

President Weah reaffirmed his intention to fulfill his promise to beat all of his political adversaries in the upcoming elections for president and legislature in 2023, including those who seek to limit his time in office to a single term.

The Liberian Leader made the allegation while making remarks on Sunday, October 2, 2022, at his private church in Paynesville, which is located on the Robertsfield Highway.

According to President Weah, he did not send Lewis Brown to the Federal Republic of Nigeria as a representative of his country because, in his opinion, Brown is not skilled in the art of diplomacy.

These comments were made by the Liberian leader in reaction to a statement that was recently made by Ambassador Lewis Brown on a local station. In that statement, Brown suggested that President Weah was not in a better position to compete for a second term in 2023. Ambassador Brown has been named by President Weah as one of the individuals who started the war in Liberia and were responsible for the deaths of innocent people.

President Weah advised Ambassador Brown to stop blaming innocent people of supporting the war. The leader of Liberia has stated that he does not have blood on his hands because he assisted in disarming former rebels in Liberia during the violent conflict that claimed the lives of thousands of people.

The Liberian Leader said being in opposition does not equate to having a perpetually pessimistic outlook on the state of affairs in the nation. According he when he was a member of the opposition, his party actively tried to preserve peace.

He said that Liberians should instead pray for their president whenever he leaves the country to represent the nation, given that the president of Liberia does not represent himself when he is away from the country in this capacity.

Alexander B. Cummings, the leader of the Alternative National Congress (ANC), has gained the backing of a number of mainstream Liberian politicians, including Ambassador Lewis Brown. Brown is one of those politicians who recently crossed over to ANC.
