Mr. Alexander B. Cummings, the Political Leader of the opposition Collaborating Political Parties (CCP), has vowed to prioritize women’s interests if he’s elected in October.

In a remark at an occasion organized by Collaborating Political Parties (CP) and District #4 Montserrado County Women’s League over the weekend, Mr. Cummings alluded to the fact that women will benefit directly from the economy, especially through the improvement of their businesses, and that jobs will be at their disposal.

Mr. Cummings guaranteed affordable education for Liberian children, as well as a decent and equipped learning environment.

As feeding remains an essential part of education, Cummings pledged to make available a feeding program where children will have access to adequate food in school.

According to Mr. Cummings, he and his vice presidential candidate envision a Liberia where people will be treated equally, regardless of their tribes, ethnicity, or religious background.

“We are committed to helping to fix the mess that the Weah government has created. I am very joyful for the turnout of this program. We need you to convince your friends and family to make us the next government,” he said.

Like Mr. Cummings, his vice Presidential candidate, Cllr. Charlyne Brumskin, emphasized their commitment to prioritize women’s interests.

As a female in said capacity, she said the CPP ticket is in the best interest of the country, and the women of Liberia are paramount on their agenda.

“To tell you how Mr. Cummings is so engaged in the promotion of women’s rights, he selected me as his helper. In this country, women carry more burdens than men, and the men are the ones making more money in the country”.

She continued, “If women are empowered, there will be more opportunity for them. Women,  it’s time for you to be empowered; we must empower ourselves. We can’t do it all; the same opportunity our children had, we will provide that opportunity to the people of Liberia when we are elected on October 10, 2023”.

Cllr. Brumskine further admonished the women, On October 10, 2023, you will get one last opportunity, and it’s one more chance. Vote for a leader that will create more jobs and empower our women and youth. If they bring their money, eat it and vote them out. That is my message. Let us all decide what we want on October 10, 2023″.

The Collaborating Political Parties (CP), District #4 Montserrado County Women’s League, over the weekend, gowned Mr. Alexander Benedict Cummings and Cllr. Charlyne Brumskine during a fundraising event held at the FDA community in Paynesville.

In the overview of the fundraiser, Virgna Kaydor, the District Chairlady, said the purpose of the program was intended to generate funds to aid the CPP’s campaign process in the upcoming elections.

According to Madam Kaydor, their interest is Liberia and not individuals; as such, she believes it’s time that Liberians put the interest of the Country before personal interest.

The women, who have full confidence in the abilities of Mr. Cummings and Cllr. Brumskine, are passionate about supporting their candidates’ political endeavors, especially in the pending elections.

“We are confident that when they are elected to the highest position in this country, they will do more for the women and girls of Liberia, and they are going to stand up with them she added”.

Madan Kaydor encouraged residents of the district to focus and ensure that they are prioritized by candidates that need their support, as she’s of the opinion that women and youths are not taken seriously by this Government.
